Demet Orbay was born at 19 in İstanbul/ Turkey.
She is a Turkish Master expressionist artist who lives and works in Turkey.
She studied art, design and sculpture in Turkey and Germany. She is interested in human body and phycology.
She practices figurative drawing and land art. Orbay opened her first solo exhibition in Kas, Turkey and the same year moved to Europe and started to work on installation art in Berlin. She has had seven solo exhibition in Turkey and Europe. Her drawings are black line on white background, and imagery. Her land art materials are founded from nature and usually dyed with natural pigment.
Orbay is trying to find human comfort in nature as a physical and psychological manner.
